Comments: Took Holland from San Diego to Charleston to Holy Loch. One long cruise. Would like to get ships patch and maybe a coffee mug.
Comments: My name is Christine Beers. My husband Gregory J. Beers served aboard the USS HOLLAND during the year 1985. He was medivaced off the ship Oct of 1985. He passed away in September of 1989, and I was just wondering if any of his shipmates have ever inquired about him or if you have any pictures of him or perhaps video? He loved the ship and what he did on it. He was a Marine and a guard of Nuclear weapons aboard the ship. I have pictures that show some folks from the ship but cannot read some of the writing of the names on the back of the pictures. I am working on that part but it is difficult. Thank you!
Comments: The US Navy was the best years of my life. Being at open sea was the best. I remember most of the wonderful friends I made, and all the good times. It's terribly sad to see her now in Suisun Bay with rust on her and no one caring for her. She should be in the Pacific as a sunken reef. Haze Gray and under way!
Comments: Still remember many good friends and many good "duty" nights while working with sub-mariners.
