Just an absolutely unforgettable time. No other duty station matched it. I don't know if it was the people, the place, or the combination but it was something special.

My time on the Holland forever changed my life and now, 32 years later I look back with only the fondest memories of my friends, shipmates, Holy Loch and the scottish people.
I may not have known it then, but I am so proud to have served on the worlds greatest tender.

I really enjoyed my time on the USS Holland and enjoyed our trips to japan and Korea.  I enjoyed being part of the decommissioning crew and hated to see her taken out of service.

It's wonderful to see former shipmates recalling the good old days.  We served well and proudly!  I was onboard her right to the very end.
