My dad was Joe Steele, who served on the Holland in the mid to late 70's, likely site one. Believe he was a chief at the time (I'll have to break out the old family albums and scan some of his photos that some of you are sure to be in). He spent time on the Canopus, Hunley, and Los Alamos - all in Scotland. Went on a tour in Pearl Harbor around 1980 where he made warrant. He ended his navy career on the USS Waterford in Groton, CT as a docking officer in 1990. We stayed in CT ever since. My dad passed away in 2006 and rests in section 64 in Arlington. We miss him always - a sometimes uncompromising man and always a loving dad, he made us who we are. His navy days encompassed my entire childhood and still carry with me today.
