No Department / Division / Shop : Supply Comments: I was given orders to USS Holland by mistake. They were expecting an SK3 but I was an SK2. I was only a crewman for 6 months. The day I reported aboard I fell down a flight of stairs. My sea bag tumbled down the stairs behind me and knocked me unconscious right in front of the post office and and I sustained a severe injury to my right leg. The supply department put me in a stockroom red leading the floor . They had no real billet for me so they jacked me around for the 6 months of my time on the ship. I was humiliated by the division officer in front of the entire division one morning at muster. I don’t have many pleasant memories of the Holland.
