Charleston, Holy Loch Are you a USS Holland AS-32 Plank-Owner ? no A USS Holland AS-32 ShellBack ? no Where you part of the 1996 Decom Crew ? no Department / Division / Shop : Weapons Repair, W-4, Guidance Checkout Comments: Joined Holland at Charleston Weapons Station, servicing Polaris A2 site, took her through the Panama Canal to Puget Sound Shipyard, conversion to Poseidon C3 capability, back thru the Canal to Charleston for PSA and then to Holy Loch. Relived the Canopus and assumed duties as Poseidon missile site. Interestingly enough, I had just completed the conversion from Polaris A3 to Poseidon C3 capability on the USS Hunley. After being promoted to MT1, was transferred to POMPAC, which changed to SWFPAC after I checked in. After two years there, I quit the Navy and got a job with Lockheed Field Engineering, "fixing all the stuff I broke" in the Navy as one old Field Engineer said.
